Estou tendo um problema extremo com meu adaptador de rede. Recentemente, descobri que meu adaptador ethernet integrado era de alguma forma incompatível com o Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
Ontem, recebi uma nova placa de rede com fio . Depois de instalá-lo no slot PCI-E 1x, iniciei o computador.
Eu verifiquei minha rede e esperava ver uma mensagem "Conectado à rede". Eu recebi uma mensagem em minhas conexões que eu estava conectado, mas era para "Rede não identificada" com "Sem acesso à Internet". Eu reiniciei, apenas para obter uma mensagem "Não há conexões disponíveis" na caixa de conexões.
Na Central de Rede e Compartilhamento, eu recebi uma mensagem dizendo para conectar um cabo ethernet. Obviamente, eu já tinha feito isso. Eu tentei com outro cabo, mesmo conectando-o diretamente ao modem a cabo em si (originalmente eu tinha conectado à porta 1 em um Cisco Valet.)
Eu até tentei redefinir a pilha "TCP / IP", também sem sucesso. Depois de deixar o computador desligado por um tempo, eu iniciei de volta no Windows 7, e o que você sabe, "Unidentified Network, No Internet Access". Depois de mexer um pouco mais, como configurar o IP, ele voltou para "Cabo de rede desconectado".
Agora não estou sabendo o que fazer. Eu também tentei outras coisas como:
Reiniciando
Comutação de cabos
Desativando e re-ativando
Atualização de drivers (todos estavam atualizados!)

E para arp -a ele volta com um erro dizendo que nenhuma entrada ARP foi encontrada.

Parece que o seu provedor (ou modem) tem configurações que permitem o acesso à Internet apenas das placas de rede permitidas. Como de costume, o provedor limita o acesso pelo endereço MAC da placa de rede. Em caso afirmativo, você deve editar a configuração do modem e adicionar o novo endereço MAC do cartão para permitir a lista ou fornecer o novo endereço MAC ao provedor da Internet.
