WiFi caindo com o cartão realtek no Linux Mint

Estou em uma nova instalação do Linux Mint 17.2. Desde que instalei, notei que minha conexão WiFi cai, mas não se desconecta. O WiFi funciona bem no Windows. Não consigo executar ping em nenhum servidor nem carregar nenhum site pela duração. Parece acontecer em intervalos aleatórios.

Até agora eu ignorei o IPv6 sem sucesso. Eu também peguei um pouco de alguém com o mesmo problema que tinha um cartão Realtek. Ele foi instruído a escrever o seguinte em /etc/modprobe.d/ com um nome de arquivo correspondente ao seu cartão Realtek, eu acho. Eu fiz algo parecido:

Você pode usar adaptadores sem fio USB compatíveis com Linux. Isso resolveu meu problema no meu antigo laptop. Existem poucas marcas que funcionam muito bem, aqui está uma pequena lista
