Como instalar extensões no Chromium sem o armazenamento na web?

Eu tentei instalar o Reddit Enhancement Suit, quando o Chromium reclamou que só posso instalar extensões facilmente na Web Store. Baixou o arquivo .crx. Como posso aplicá-lo? A página de ajuda vinculada diz:

Steps on adding extensions from other websites

We recommend you only add extensions from other websites that you trust. In Chrome, you can follow these steps to add the extension:

• Download the extension file from the website and save it to your computer.
• Click the wrench icon on the browser toolbar.
• Select Tools > Extensions.
• Locate the extension file on your computer and drag the file onto the Extensions page.
• Review the list of permissions in the dialog that appears. If you would like to proceed, click Install.

Estou executando chromium em X e não tenho ideia de como devo arrastar de xterm .

Você pode tentar isso para ver se funciona:

• Abra um gerenciador de arquivos no X (por exemplo, no KDE, abra o golfinho).
• Ir para o local do arquivo CRX baixado (pasta Downloads?).
• Clique no arquivo CRX baixado e arraste-o para uma janela do Chromium.

Eu tive esse problema com a extensão mailvelope Eu queria experimentar o Chromium no Debian.

A solução foi: CHROMIUM_FLAGS='--enable-remote-extensions' in /etc/environment (relogin then…) ou apenas inicie o Chromium na CLI com: CHROMIUM_FLAGS='--enable-remote-extensions' chromium .

Mais tarde, fui autorizado a instalar com o link do site do projeto sem mais problemas.
