Firefox 3.5 não está respondendo após a atualização para o Windows 7

Acabei de atualizar do Vista para o Windows 7 Home Premium (32 bits). No Vista, o Firefox funcionou muito bem. Eu estou usando a versão 3.5.6. 2 GB de RAM.

No Windows 7, no entanto, sempre que clico em um link, campo ou guia dentro do navegador ou em vários outros lugares no Firefox 'Not Responding', a barra de título fica piscando.

Na maioria das vezes eu tenho que clicar duas ou três vezes para obter qualquer link ou qualquer outra coisa que funcione, o que é muito chato. Alguma ideia? Eu vi outras pessoas não respondendo muito com várias aplicações.

Tente desinstalar / reinstalar, incluindo a limpeza do diretório de instalação. Tentei remover todos os addons também. Ainda recebe a mensagem 'Não está respondendo' ocasionalmente piscando no canto superior direito da barra de título da janela.

Tive que começar a usar o Chrome Plus, pois o Firefox estava me enlouquecendo. Acho que é outra coisa no meu computador e um dia de desinstalação / reinstalação em massa acena para tentar isolar o problema.

To fix the screen flashing issue, follow steps below.

Run Registry Editor, and then delete the following registry keys:

• HKEY_USERS.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop\HungAppTimeOut

Não há problema com o FF no Win7, por isso o problema é específico do seu computador.

Sugiro iniciar o FF com o atalho Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode) . Se isso resolver o problema, é um complemento do FF que está causando o problema, que você deve localizar e desinstalar.

Se o problema persistir, desinstale o FF, limpe o diretório de instalação e reinstale-o. Deve funcionar, ou o problema é mais complexo e pode ter algo a ver com um antivírus instalado ou outro motivo.

No meu caso, foi o AVG Anti-virus Extensions - SafeSearch e LinkScanner. Desativei ambos e configurei o AVG para ignorar a condição "defeituosa" e não vi nenhum bloqueio desde ...

O problema deve estar no Flash. Siga estes três passos simples:
