Estou tentando instalar o Date :: Manip :: Date, que requer o YAML :: Syck. Estou executando o Cygwin no Windows XP.
Ambos os pacotes falham em fazer testes. Eu instalei outros pacotes com sucesso, como Text :: CSV, Text :: CSV_XS e Text :: CSV :: Simple
Eu tentei instalar os dois pacotes separadamente, e também juntos (ou seja, 'sim' quando ele pede para preceder a dependência). Eu corri 'clean' nos pacotes antes de tentar cada tipo diferente de instalação.
Finalmente, em um momento de frustração, forcei as instalações (por exemplo, 'cpan-fi YAML :: Syck') e, embora o teste do make falhou, a instalação foi concluída com sucesso.Ao executar o script que requer Date :: Manip :: Date, recebo o seguinte erro:

Eu descobri que tentar usar CPAN com cygwin é mais incômodo do que vale a pena. Acabei ignorando perl do cygwin. Eu instalei o Strawberry perl e disse ao cygwin para usá-lo.
Não é perfeito, mas falha ao criar muito menos módulos CPAN do que o perl do cygwin nativo.
Acabei de fazer o script funcionar copiando a pasta lib / perl5 de um colega de trabalho. Não é uma solução real para o problema, mas o importante é que posso executar os scripts que preciso agora. : /
