Com o docker existe uma maneira de determinar quais imagens dependem de outra imagem

Com docker , posso identificar todos os contêineres nomeados e marcados com docker images , que os relaciona.

Eu posso descobrir em que outras imagens uma determinada imagem confia usando docker inspect --format '{{.RootFS.Layers}}' _imageId_ e comparando manualmente as SHAs Eu posso ver que a imagem B utiliza a imagem A.

Existe alguma maneira que eu possa obter o docker para me dizer ou usar um script bash (ou shell portátil) que encontrará todas as imagens nomeadas que dependem de uma determinada imagem. por exemplo. neste exemplo, B seria retornado quando eu procurar por imagens, dependendo de A.

Não obtive êxito na pesquisa de saída de ajuda do docker, na documentação do docker on-line, no google e no SE, O SO, SU procura encontrar uma alternativa existente para localizar manualmente as dependências.

Como afirmado na pergunta, parece não haver uma maneira de fazer isso. O seguinte script docker-find-dependents é mantido aqui e faz o trabalho
