Não é possível obter som através de HDMI no Kubuntu 9.10

Eu usei um cabo HDMI para conectar meu LCD (que está conectado com meus alto-falantes) com minha placa gráfica Nvidia 275 GTX . Eu não consigo fazer a saída de som funcionar. O hardware em si está funcionando provavelmente - eu testei no Windows.

Atualmente estou executando o Kubuntu 9.10 64 com a Nvidia 190.53. A saída de som funcionou bem antes de instalar a conexão HDMI.

(saída alemã - eu posso mudar isso, se você me disser como:))
