Alguém sabe como remover o texto prefixando o cifrão no terminal mac?

Por exemplo,

O prompt geralmente é configurado na variável de ambiente PS1 . PS2 , PS3 e PS4 são todos usados em outros locais e talvez você queira modificá-los em algum momento. Para obter um prompt muito melhor, defina seu PS1 em seus arquivos de inicialização do shell, normalmente ~/.bashrc :

export PS1='\$ '  # Note ' quotes rather than " quotes

Usar \$ mudará o aviso para # quando uid==0 - por exemplo:

$ sudo -s
# 
# exit
$ 

Dica muito útil antes de executar o comando rm -r * .

          \u     the username of the current user
          \v     the version of bash (e.g., 2.00)
          \V     the release of bash, version + patch level
                 (e.g., 2.00.0)
          \w     the current working directory, with $HOME
                 abbreviated with a tilde (uses the value of
                 the PROMPT_DIRTRIM variable)
          \W     the basename of the current working
                 directory, with $HOME abbreviated with a
                 tilde
          \!     the history number of this command
          \#     the command number of this command
          \$     if the effective UID is 0, a #, otherwise a $
          \nnn   the character corresponding to the octal
                 number nnn
          \     a backslash
          \[     begin a sequence of non-printing characters,
                 which could be used to embed a terminal
                 control sequence into the prompt
          \]     end a sequence of non-printing characters

Algumas pessoas adoram adicionar cor aos seus prompts . Eu acho isso perturbador, e cada vez que eu tentei, acabei desligando novamente em alguns minutos. Mas algumas pessoas adoram bling. :)
