Quando faço ping em um site, recebo respostas de ping de domínios aleatórios. Você pode ver isso na pasta abaixo. Eu comecei um ping e naveguei por alguns sites, e o domínio continua mudando.

Também observei que minha internet está lenta ao abordar um novo site, mas depois que chego à página, ela é carregada rapidamente e geralmente consigo navegar pelo site sem lentidão. Eu posso transmitir filmes em HD com minha conexão (que é uma conexão DSL), então a velocidade está lá, mas há algo estranho com o DNS que eu espero?

Também de interesse, todos os pings reportam cerca de 95 ms, mas os ping's são na verdade bastante esporádicos. Significando que vou sentar por 10 segundos, depois 3 ou 4 pings retornarão muito rapidamente, então haverá outra longa pausa. Apesar de alguns pings muito claramente (por estimativa visual) demorarem mais do que outros, todos relatam o mesmo tempo de ping.

Esta é minha primeira postagem de superusuário. Espero que isso não seja muito específico, mas talvez possa ajudar outra pessoa.   • Estou conectado ao meu roteador DSL.
  • Um laptop Windows, conectado sem fio ao roteador, não tem os mesmos problemas, mas o Windows provavelmente faz pings de maneira diferente. Em em particular, eu notei que o Windows não relata o domínio em sua resultados de ping.
  • Os resultados do ping mostrado abaixo são do computador com o "problemas de conexão".

Veja como o ping funciona:

ping stackexchange.com
  1. Ele dispara uma consulta de DNS para resolver stackexchange.com
  2. Em seguida, envia solicitações ICMP (ping) para o endereço IP obtido da consulta DNS
  3. Na resposta bem-sucedida, ele consulta o DNS sobre o domínio da origem da resposta do ICMP

Isso deve significar que seu DNS responde de maneira diferente às consultas de pesquisa inversa subsequentes.
