Eu tenho um mini-servidor executando o Windows 10 com 1 SSD e 3 discos rígidos.
Eu pretendo usar apenas 2 unidades, então eu quero que elas fiquem fechadas. Eu até os coloquei offline dentro do Disk Management. Mas as unidades off-line continuavam girando e girando.
Mas eu o rastreei até o Microsoft-Windows-Storage-Storport, escrevendo o seguinte no log de eventos:

Esses conjuntos de eventos acontecem a cada 65 minutos nos registros e os discos rígidos são acionados sempre que acontecem. Suspeito que o driver esteja consultando os dados SMART e algumas unidades aceleram quando os dados SMART são solicitados.
Se existe alguma maneira de impedir que isso aconteça? Talvez alguma ideia do que eu deveria tentar?
A placa-mãe é a Asrock J3160DC-ITX. O problema ocorre, não importa se minhas unidades estão conectadas às 2 portas SATA 'normais' ou às 2 portas do controlador ASMedia ASM1061c.

Parece ser o método de trabalho que está despertando meus discos.
