14.04 e Intel HD Graphics: símbolo indefinido: drm_intel_get_reset_stats

Não consigo aceleração de hardware para trabalhar com o Intel HD Graphics 5000 (Core i5 / Sandy Bridge). Ele estava funcionando corretamente em 13.10, mas atualizar para 14.04 parece ter quebrado alguma coisa.

Há um problema ao carregar o driver i965: undefined symbol: drm_intel_get_reset_stats

Ouch! Bem, eu não estava no 14.04 naquela época, mas a:

sudo apt-get install --reinstall xserver-xorg-video-intel libgl1-mesa-glx libgl1-mesa-dri xserver-xorg-core
sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
sudo reboot

teria consertado também!
