Eu tenho um servidor ProLiant DL380 Gen9 com um controlador HP Smart Array P440ar e unidades SSD HP MO0400JEFPA 400GB SAS .
O servidor é destinado a hospedar um banco de dados intensivo de gravação, então estou particularmente interessado na velocidade de gravação.
Temos 4 arrays: 3 arrays raid-1 com 2 drives cada e um array raid-10 com 16 drives que serão usados para armazenar os dados.
Eu tenho medido a velocidade de gravação usando o dd:
time sh -c "dd if=/dev/zero of=test.tmp bs=8k count=200000000 conv=fdatasync"
Nos arrays raid-1 eu ganho em torno de 600MB / s (perto dos teóricos 700MBPS do drive). Mas no array raid-10 eu só recebo 1.5GB / s.
Eu entendo que, com um array de 16 drives RAID-10, teoricamente eu deveria ter uma velocidade de gravação de 8x. E eu estou recebendo apenas 3x. Eu deveria esperar mais disso? Ou o desempenho real está tão longe da teoria?
(na velocidade de leitura também recebo um 3x em vez do teórico 16x).

Existe algum problema com o controlador RAID? Alguma coisa errada configurada? Eu deveria estar feliz com uma velocidade de gravação de 3x? Ou devo procurar o gargalo em algum outro lugar?
