O cabo ou porta SATA pode estar com defeito.
Tente usar outro cabo e conecte a outra porta SATA da placa-mãe.
Acabei de comprar meu primeiro SSD uma hora atrás, pensei que fosse em primeira mão, mas vi que a caixa estava aberta e havia arquivos dentro do SSD quando o conectei para mover meus arquivos para a nova unidade.
Acontece que eu fiz alguns testes, a SMART informa que o disco está funcionando bem. Eu criei uma nova partição, desconectei, pluguei e voila, o disco não apareceu. Fui ao gparted no linux para descobrir que não tinha uma tabela de partições. Criado uma tabela de partições msdos e uma partição fat32, desconectado e replocado, e eles foram embora. Testado que cerca de 3 vezes, sem sorte. Eu também tentei com uma tabela de partição gpt, mas também não tive sorte.
