remove os SOs excluídos do menu de inicialização do grub 1.98

Eu estou tentando remover entradas para sistemas operacionais excluídos, do menu do grub 1.98.

Estou usando o Gnu / Linux Debian 6 (versão do grub 1.98 + 20100804-14 + squeeze1).

Eu tenho uma partição do Ubuntu com 10 imagens do kernel e outro sistema operacional que não pode ser nomeado; Ambas as partições foram apagadas, mas as entradas ainda estão no menu de inicialização.

Eu tentei sudo /usr/sbin/update-grub a saída parecia boa,

A partir disso eu posso ver as mensagens em stderr detectando os kernels do Debian, mas em algum lugar ele está se lembrando dos outros SOs.

remova o arquivo /etc/grub.d/30_otheros e execute sudo /usr/sbin/update-grub
