Editar : Trabalhando com o VMware Server 2.0.2 . No entanto, se você tiver algumas dicas sobre como fazer com que o VMware Server 1.0.x funcione com o Ubuntu facilmente (sem ter que compilar o kernel inteiro, por exemplo), compartilhe também! Minha primeira impressão é que eu não gosto de 2.0, e prefiro usar 1.0.x se eu conseguisse trabalhar.

Parece que funcionou, com conselhos de link

  1. Faça o seguinte: link e untar isso. (Isso é para 2.0.1, mas isso não parece importar.)

  2. Executar sudo sh vmware-server.2.0.1_x64-modules-2.6.30.4-fix.sh

    NB: Se você tiver o VMware libs instalado em algum lugar diferente de / usr / lib / (por exemplo, / usr / local / lib), será necessário corrigir manualmente alguns caminhos nesse script.

  3. Então, como o script sugeriu, sudo vmware-config.pl -d
