Não é possível conectar-se ao WiFi via NetworkManager às vezes (!)

Eu tenho um problema que ocorre apenas no Arch + Xfce + NetworkManager. Ele não ocorre no Arch + Gnome + NetworkManager ou no Ubuntu ou Arch + Xfce + wicd na minha máquina se não estiver faltando alguma coisa.

Quando estou tentando me conectar a alguns pontos de acesso (!), não consigo e as seguintes mensagens aparecem no dmesg:

Eu tentei desativar o IPv6, mas isso não ajudou. E eu também tentei "ip link set wlp4s0 up / down" e comandos similares.
