A instalação do postgres remove o rabbitmq e vice-versa. Como fazer os dois ficarem?

Eu preciso que tanto o rabbitmq-server quanto o postgresql estejam instalados em minha máquina e o apt-get install um remove o outro. Aqui está a saída dos comandos de instalação:

    $ sudo apt-get install postgresql

e ao tentar instalar o rabbitmq-server depois de instalar o postgres:

Meu aplicativo django deve usar o postgres como o db e o coelhinho para o aipo ... e ambos estão se comportando como namoradas com inveja.

O problema é que os pacotes preciso-pgdg postgresql do apt.postgresql.org são compatíveis com o raring, exceto o logrotate. O Logrotate 3.8 alterou seus arquivos de configuração e o postgresql-9.2 insistirá que você não possui uma versão ruim do logrotate em relação à sua versão postgresql. Uma resolução para isso é apenas remover o logrotate quando você instalar o postgresql-9.2.

Uma solução possível seria instalar o logrotate preciso (que é pré-3.8). Isso deve deixar o postgresql-9.2 e o rabbitmq felizes.

Estamos pensando em uma solução para o apt.postgresql.org, mas até agora ninguém criou uma solução que não envolvesse muita mágica. (Não vamos apoiar o raring no apt.postgresql.org como uma distribuição separada, porque não é uma versão LTS).
