Instalei o pacote python-numpy
no Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.
Infelizmente, o pacote está quebrado:
>>> import numpy

import numpy.core.numeric as _nx

from . import multiarray
ImportError: cannot import name multiarray
O Python geralmente é quebrado no Ubuntu? Numpy é um pacote bem básico.
