Não é possível ativar as recomendações no Ubuntu Software Center

Você precisa instalar o logon único do Ubuntu:

sudo apt-get install ubuntu-sso-client
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-sso-client-qt

Isso realmente funciona para mim e espero que funcione para outra pessoa onde a resposta não funcione. Eu corri o centro de software do terminal com privilégios de administrador:

sudo software-center

Em seguida, pressione Turn Recommendations On e, em vez de cancelar o processo sem qualquer aviso, a página de login do Ubuntu One aparece e eu consegui fazer o login.

Agora, minha pergunta é: há alguma razão pela qual o Centro de Software não tenha privilégios administrativos para executar o comando? Lembro-me de ter mudado a senha quando o aviso Heartbleed foi enviado; Isso pode ter causado isso, mas não havia nenhuma opção para alterar as credenciais no Centro de Software. Estou apenas assumindo aqui.

Apenas FYI ... algum corpo pode ajudar nisso? ou devo postar essa mesma pergunta novamente explicando que a resposta postada aqui não resolve todos os problemas com o login? No meu caso está falhando ao logar retornando problema recebendo resposta do aplicativo remoto. Então, aparentemente, não está no meu fim.

Gostaria de confirmar que os sintomas da raphie também ocorrem em 15.04 amd64. Eu também vejo a animação "working", mas o Software Recommendations não liga ou exibe qualquer seleção. O single-signon-client e o single-signon-client-qt também são instalados, e eu posso entrar nos fóruns do Ubuntu. Eu reinstalei o software-center, mas isso também não ajudou. Ter executado atualizações do sistema para várias versões sucessivas; Eu provavelmente deveria fazer uma nova instalação da próxima vez.
