Não consigo encontrar uma diferença recente e definitiva entre linux-server e linux-image-server . Eu pensei com certeza que isso estaria na documentação do Ubuntu, mas eu não vejo isso.

linux-server depende de linux-image-server .

Este pacote sempre dependerá da última imagem do kernel disponível para o Server Equipment.
