Por que não consigo enviar um anexo com o Outlook via SMTP que eu possa enviar pelo Gmail / Google Apps?

Eu tenho o Google Apps instalado e tentei configurar o Outlook 2007 para enviar mensagens via SMTP.

Eu segui o guia, selecionando o que acredito que são todas as configurações corretas. Sim, estou usando o POP para entrada, que é intencional, mas não acredito que isso deva afetar as mensagens enviadas.

Quando eu faço login no gmail (google apps) para minha empresa, posso enviar uma mensagem que tem um anexo de 8MB (arquivo pdf, não compactado ou qualquer coisa) e envia tudo bem. No entanto, quando eu envio a mesma mensagem no Outlook com o mesmo anexo de 8mb, ele falha .

Meu melhor palpite é que o Outlook esteja usando a codificação Quoted-Printable para o seu anexo, o que o tornaria muito maior do que o original.

Você pode tentar seguir as instruções em KB 278134 e editar a chave InternetMailTextEncoding na subárvore de registro HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office.0\Outlook\Options\Mail . Se você atribuir um valor DWORD de 2 (use Base64) ou 3 (não codificar, enviar anexos de 8 bits) a ele e isso resolver o problema, você teria encontrado o culpado.
