Como desinstalar o Java versão 1.4

Gostaria de fazer uma pergunta sobre como desinstalar minha versão antiga do java (1.4.2_06) se ela não for mostrada em add / remove no painel de controle? Estou usando o windows xp. Eu já desinstalei todos os meus java que estão na versão 1.4 e instalei uma versão mais recente do java que é a versão 7, mas ainda a versão instalada do java no meu pc é a versão 1.4. Eu já tentei reiniciar meu pc toda vez que eu instale / desinstale o java.
