Eu tenho um ReadyNAS 102 com algumas unidades USB conectadas e conectando a partir de uma máquina com Windows 8 por SSH. Houve momentos em que eu queria copiar arquivos entre volumes no NAS. Infelizmente, eu também acidentalmente interrompi o processo de cópia acidentalmente fechando as sessões do SSH.

É possível processar um processo cp ou mv no SSH? No momento, quando fecho a sessão SSH, seja fechando acidentalmente a janela do terminal ou fechando a tela do meu laptop e colocando-a em suspensão, o processo de cópia pára.

Posso fazer algo como cp ~/blah /some/other/path & e fazer com que o processo continue sendo executado até a conclusão em segundo plano, mesmo que a sessão SSH seja encerrada?

Screen is a full-screen window manager that multiplexes a physical terminal between several processes, typically interactive shells. Each virtual terminal provides the functions of the DEC VT100 terminal and, in addition, several control functions from the ANSI X3.64 (ISO 6429) and ISO 2022 standards (e.g., insert/delete line and support for multiple character sets). Programs continue to run when their window is currently not visible and even when the whole screen session is detached from the users terminal.
