Desligamento não seguro no botão liga / desliga pressionado

Eu tenho o Ubuntu Server 13.10 instalado em um Dell PowerEdge 2950 (Gen II), e sempre que pressiono (não pressiono e pressiono) o botão liga / desliga, a máquina não é desligada com segurança (ela é desligada instantaneamente). piscar a mensagem "acpid: exit" antes de desligar.

Se eu, ao invés disso, executar o shutdown -h, ele passará pelo ciclo usual de parar processos, desmontar sistemas de arquivos, etc ...

Alguma idéia de por que isso pode ser? Eu quero que o botão liga / desliga desligue o sistema com segurança (a menos que eu o mantenha pressionado, é claro).

Ao procurar no manual, o botão liga / desliga executa apenas um desligamento normal se o sistema operacional for compatível com ACPI.

Pela aparência da resposta aqui , você pode precisar obter o pacote acpi-support ou, de acordo com o segunda resposta, o pacote acpid .

Você pode experimentar qualquer um deles.

The button is enabled in the System Setup program. When disabled, the button can only turn on system power.

NOTE: You can still turn on the system by using the power button, even if the Power Button option is set to Disabled.

Isto parece ser um conflito entre o acpid e o systemd, ambos tentando um encerramento e o resultado sendo um poweroff imediato.
Contornar: Desative qualquer um.

Desabilitando o acpid: comente as linhas em /etc/acpi/events/powerbtn (ou exclua esse arquivo)
Desativando systemd: edite /etc/systemd/logind.conf e adicione HandlePowerKey=ignore à seção [Login] .
