O Ubuntu inicializa na linha de comando em vez de X

On my relatively new install, it's booting into command line instead of X--again.

This is the reason I reinstalled in the first place. This has happened to me three times now.

So, I boot up and it gets past GRUB, past the glowing Ubuntu option, then it prompts me for my username, then password. I run:

startx

And that starts the GUI for about a minute, then it runs the GUI login system.

To add to the mess, the network-applet is not shown in the panel. Additionally, Chrome will not launch (I ran Firefox from the terminal).

What's the problem here?

1. eu inicializo
2. faço login no terminal
3. eu executo o startx
4. X começa e eu posso mexer um pouco
5. X é atacado pelo GDM - o login da GUI

Se sim, por algum motivo, o GDM está demorando um tempo ridículo para ser lançado. Poderia ser um back-end de autenticação ou praticamente qualquer coisa.

Em seu lugar, eu começaria a verificar os registros:

/var/log/Xorg.0.log
/var/log/auth
/var/log/daemon
/var/log/error
/var/log/syslog

Neste ponto, estamos tentando descobrir o que está acontecendo em seu sistema.

Não tenho certeza qual é o motivo. você pode querer verificar os registros.

De qualquer forma, tente isso

1. Ao iniciar, no Grub, escolha o modo de recuperação
2. Deve dar uma lista de menu para escolher várias ações
3. Uma das ações é configurar o X display, tente esta opção.

Se ao inicializar seu sistema ele iniciar o Ubuntu no modo Terminal, tente isto: (Eu suponho que você tenha o ultimo Ubuntu Karmic Koala)

Primeiro: Login pelo Terminal (nome de usuário e senha)

Segundo: tipo:

serviço sudo gdm start

Agora, ele deve carregar o gerenciador de exibição do Gnome sem problemas. Se você ainda encontrar problemas, encontre soluções no Ubuntu Forms. Eu sei que você tentou antes, mas tente novamente.
