Por que o meu endereço MAC forçado não está funcionando (Raspberry Pi)?

Estou trabalhando com Raspberry Pi Zeros em uma sub-rede. Eu comprei adaptadores Ethernet externos para cada um para conectá-los uns aos outros. Infelizmente, todos esses adaptadores ethernet vieram com os mesmos endereços MAC, tornando a comunicação entre os Pis quase impossível.

Por causa disso, tentei forçar uma mudança nos endereços MAC editando /etc/systemd/network/00-default.link em cada Pi Zero, de acordo com as etapas descritas em este post . Por fim, usei o seguinte código:

Infelizmente, depois de reiniciar todos os meus Pi Zeros, nenhum dos endereços MAC foi atualizado para os novos valores atribuídos. Quando eu verifico com ifconfig , todos eles permaneceram com os mesmos valores originais. O que estou fazendo errado?

Aqui está meu palpite completamente sem fundamento antes de eu passar a noite.

Você tem mais interfaces do que apenas o adaptador Ethernet USB e o * em seu arquivo .link também corresponde a mais do que apenas o adaptador USB. Especificamente, ele também corresponde ao dispositivo de loopback lo .

Depois que o networkd alterou o endereço MAC do primeiro dispositivo correspondente (que provavelmente é lo devido ao menor ifindex), ele não pode usar o mesmo MAC em qualquer outra interface - o O kernel recusa esse tipo de operação duplicada. Portanto, seu novo endereço MAC não pode ser colocado em eth0 porque é ocupado por lo.

Para evitar isso (supondo que esse seja realmente o problema), adicione correspondências adicionais - por exemplo, corresponder por Driver ou OriginalName.
