domínio realmd junção com kinit não funciona no Ubuntu 18.04

Estou tentando configurar uma máquina Ubuntu 18.04 e uni-la a um domínio do Active Directory. Em todos os outros sistemas que usei, pude fazer

# kinit -kt /path/to/keytab my_username
# realm join ad.example.com

No entanto, com o Ubuntu 18.04, parece que o comando realm não vê o tíquete Kerberos:

# kinit -kt /path/to/keytab my_username
