Estou usando um sistema altamente sobrecarregado com PCI-E com todos os slots pci-e disponíveis totalmente usados. A especificação Intel do meu i7-2600K declara suporte para apenas 16 linhas pci-e, apesar de usar muitas placas de extensão, minhas 2 GPUs ainda rodam a x8. Eu pensei que, devido a outras cartas, seria algo como x4 ou menos.
Então, como o sistema suporta mais de 16 linhas pci-e no geral, apesar de a CPU exigir suporte apenas para 16? Este é o meu resultado lspci -vv

Eu vejo que existem algumas portas que pertencem à própria CPU e alguns slots x1 que são suportados pelo Chipset. Qual é a diferença entre as rotas pci-e baseadas em chipset e as suportadas por CPU?

Eu notei que as CPUs Threadrippter têm suporte a 64 pci-e, mas as placas-mãe tendem a expor apenas 48 via slots pci-e na placa-mãe. Isso significa que o X399 não usa essa abordagem e aqui todas as pistas "adicionais" pci-e como M.2 etc. também são suportadas diretamente pela CPU?
