Reinicialização inesperada do sistema onDebian Stretch 9.3

Question

Eu tenho um sistema operacional Debian Stretch 9.3 x64 bits:

uname -a: Linux Jessie 4.9.0-5-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.65-3+deb9u2 (2018-01-04) x86_64 GNU/Linux

Hoje, quando voltei do trabalho, acordei meu computador (normalmente coloco o PC em suspensão quando não o uso por muitas horas), mas 20 minutos depois (16:21 GMT +2) ele é reiniciado inesperadamente me comandando para fazer isso. Enquanto eu tentava rastrear o problema, executei esses comandos para ter uma pista sobre o que realmente aconteceu:

less /var/log/syslog
less /var/log/kern.log
less /var/log/messages

todos os três arquivos de log, antes da reinicialização, mostram uma entrada de vários

^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@

símbolos.
