Na tentativa de instalar o MS Office Professional Plus 2010 no Ubuntu 16.10 através do Playonlinux, encontrei o seguinte problema. Para referência, estou usando um arquivo de instalação de 32 bits que baixei (ou seja, não um CD) e as configurações padrão no Playonlinux. No entanto, após a extração, recebo a seguinte saída de log:

A instalação termina com um erro nas últimas duas linhas desta saída.
A pergunta é: o que está causando a explosão desta instalação e como posso contorná-la?
Acontece que o executável que eu baixei não era um iso. Esse arquivo inicial era um repositório de auto-extração que, uma vez extraído, então fornece os arquivos de instalação necessários na pasta extraída. O Playonlinux instalou o Word, o Excel e o Powerpoint sem problemas e todos os três programas têm funcionado bem desde essa revelação.
