Estou tentando usar o pipelight para instalar o Flash no Firefox para que eu possa assistir à HBO Now. Eu sou capaz de instalar Widevine e Silverlight sem quaisquer problemas, mas eu recebo o seguinte erro no console quando ele tenta instalar o Flash:

Encontrei vários encadeamentos on-line de alguns anos atrás, o que sugere a atualização da pipelight para a v0.2.8, mas já estou usando a v0.2.8.2. Eu executei --update e --create-mozilla-plugins também. Alguém sabe como posso corrigir esse erro ou baixar o instalador necessário manualmente?

De acordo com os comentários no post principal (e pipelight.net), parece que Pipelight foi descontinuado, então não tenho certeza se há uma solução.
Uma alternativa, para aqueles sem acesso a outro sistema operacional, é instalar o Firefox e o Flash com o Wine. Acho que isso funciona razoavelmente bem.
Eu recentemente instalei o Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS em uma máquina virtual (VMware Workstation Pro 12) para testá-lo. Tudo funciona bem, exceto por uma coisa, os títulos das janelas e os botões Fechar, Maximizar e Minimizar estão cheios de bugs, eu tentei fazer algumas atualizações de software, mas não consertei o problema, eu também re-instalei o sistema operacional, mas o bug é ainda lá. Eu tinha um Ubuntu 14.04 Vm e funcionou como um encanto.
