Desligamento não planejado do Ubuntu

Minha máquina Ubuntu (com a área de trabalho XFCE) deve estar sempre ativa porque eu a utilizo como um servidor de backup. É uma velha máquina desktop da HP. Durante o fim de semana eu não consegui alcançá-lo via SSH (OpenSSH). Quando tive a oportunidade de visitá-lo hoje, segunda-feira, estava desligado. Eu estou querendo saber porque desligou e apreciaria alguma ajuda. Por favor diga med se eu deveria adicionar mais informações.
