não pode fazer backup do DVD com o dvdbackup

Comprei um filme em DVD e não posso fazer backup com o dvdbackup. lsdvd mostra isso:

Quando faço backup do título 14 com dvdbackup -i /dev/sr0 -T 14 -o ~/Videos , só obtenho um arquivo VOB de 103MB.

Este poderia ser um tipo de proteção contra cópia, ou onde poderia procurar o problema? O DVD em si é assistível com vlc ou mpv players de vídeo.

Eu também tentei fazer backup de todo o DVD, e isso levou a 23 GB + e a contar, então cancelei.
