Bumblebee falha segura x após a reinicialização [GTX 755M] [Ubuntu 15.10]

Quando instalei o bumblebee e os drivers nvidia-340, o Ubuntu inicializou em uma sessão normal. Na próxima reinicialização, após executar o glmark2 com optirun na sessão anterior, a sessão x normal não iniciaria e eu, em vez disso, recebi uma tela com a mensagem "O sistema está executando no modo de baixa representação gráfica". Se eu bloquear o xorg.config que é gerado para um arquivo em branco com

$ chattr +i /etc/X11/xorg.config

Eu chego na tela de login, mas assim que faço o login, algo cai e eu volto para a tela de login novamente.
