Conectado ao Wifi, mas sem ping ao roteador - Netgear AC6100 driver: 8812au

Eu instalei o Ubuntu 14.04 com atualizações via Ethernet. Agora quero usar meu Wi-Fi em casa. Eu tenho um Netgear AC6100 (Wifi USB stick) e encontrei um driver para o stick no Github . Eu complementei e carreguei automaticamente na inicialização. O problema é que não consigo acessar nada na rede.

Como você pode ver, o driver está funcionando (caso contrário, eu não consegui fazer um iwlist scan ) e o roteador me fornece um endereço IP correto via DHCP.

As minhas ideias para resolver o problema desapareceram. : - (

Com base no seu post muito completo, tudo parece estar em ordem - mas não está funcionando. Você pode precisar mudar para um módulo do kernel não livre, ao invés do bcmwl-kernel-source.

Do terminal:

 sudo apt-get purge bcmwl-kernel-source

E então

 sudo apt-get install linux-firmware-nonfree

Quando terminar, reinicie e deixe-nos saber como funciona.

Edit: Eu acho (ou pensei) alguns Netgear usado chipset Broadcom, mas de acordo com wikidev seu dispositivo usa o driver Realtek RTL8811AU.

Tudo bem, vamos lá. O driver que você baixou do github era rtl8812au, mas seu driver deveria ser RTL8811AU. Existe um link para o driver que você precisa no wikidev
