5.1 canais mistos HDMI, áudio intermitente / interrompido

Question

Comprei um Intel Core i3 4130 com uma placa-mãe Gigabyte H87N-WIFI com a intenção de criar um HTPC. Estou experimentando o Ubuntu 13.10 em um USB ao vivo e tudo funciona, exceto o áudio surround 5.1.

Os botões frontais esquerdo, direito, central e LFE são reproduzidos nos alto-falantes corretos, mas os botões traseiro esquerdo e direito são reproduzidos na parte frontal esquerda e direita, respectivamente. Quando eu escolho Digital Stereo o áudio toca bem.

Eu reproduzi o Digital Optical S / PDIF, mas ele não parece oferecer suporte a 5.1 por algum motivo, e meu sistema surround não suporta mixar fontes de áudio óptico e vídeo HDMI.

Eu instalei o kernel 3.13.3 em 12.04 e desde então ele funcionou bem. Eu não sou um crack suficiente para determinar se isso pode ser melhorado ou se é recomendado para um sistema produtivo. Mas também consertou outro problema que tive com o HDMI.
