Diferença entre desktop ubuntu e usb desktop ubuntu

Eu fiz o download do mini iso Ubuntu 12.04 "CD mínimo" do Precise Pangolin do link

Eu tento instalar em 2 GB de espaço livre. Eu prefiro desktop Ubuntu, mas eu não tenho idéia do que é diferente entre Ubuntu desktop e Ubuntu desktop USB ?

Eu sei que você não está usando o Ubuntu Server, mas suspeito que o problema seja o mesmo. Parece que este é um bug do Ubuntu 11.10. Você também pode ver uma pergunta relacionada do askbubuntu.com, que eu citei abaixo.
