Eu tenho um problema com a atualização do XP.
Ele trava quando tento procurar atualizações no site. Mas as atualizações automáticas ainda funcionam.
E ele está rodando o IE6, então estou tentando atualizar para o IE8, esperando que isso corrija os problemas com o site.
Mas ao instalar o IE8, ele simplesmente trava em Installing Internet Explorer 8 for Windows XP
E se eu tentar instalá-lo manualmente, ele trava ao instalar as atualizações para o IE8.
Então, olhando para esses registros, há algo errado com o processo de atualização?

Eu poderia fazer upload de todo o arquivo WindowsUpdate.log para o dropbox, se necessário.
Faça o download e instale usando este pacote , quando as opções do instalador aparecerem para baixar atualizações, desativar e continuar com a instalação.
Quando a instalação estiver concluída, reinicie o PC e faça uma atualização manual do Windows para obter todas as atualizações de segurança para o IE8.
Se a resposta de Moab não funcionar, você pode tentar fazer o download do Atualização do IE 7 , instalando-o e instalando o IE 8 em vez de 7.
