Estou usando o Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. Esta manhã, quando executei sudo apt-get update , encontrei o seguinte erro:

Eu verifiquei a internet para uma resposta. Embora eu tenha encontrado alguns posts semelhantes, nenhuma solução funciona para mim. Uma das soluções interessantes que tentei foi:

A solução mais simples é seguir os dois passos a seguir:

1- Faça o backup da sua lista de fontes - > sudo cp /etc/apt/sources.list /etc/apt/sources.list.backup

2- Abra o arquivo de fontes "/etc/apt/sources.list" Renomeie todas as instâncias de us.archive ou arquive em http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ to

http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/

Faça também o mesmo para o http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/saucy-security/universe/binary-i386/Packages

3- Execute o sudo apt-get update depois de fazer o acima.

Adivinha o que ... não funcionou. De fato, isso gerou mais erros:

Você fez alguns erros graves aqui.

Primeiro, você está executando 16.04. Isso significa que você não pode substituir cegamente o espelho do arquivo normal por old-releases . É por isso que você atualmente recebe os erros que você tem sobre os repositórios do Xenial que estão faltando.

Em segundo lugar, você ainda está tentando desenhar a partir do repositório do Lucid. Isso não ajudará, porque uma boa parte dos itens no repositório Lucid não funcionará no Xenial ou foi removida dos repositórios por vários motivos, ou foi substituída por versões atualizadas. E as instruções que você seguiu para versões antigas somente se aplicam à linha de repositório Lucid que você tinha em suas configurações.

Veja como corrigir os problemas que você está tendo.

1. Acesse /etc/apt/sources.list e comece substituindo todas as entradas old-releases.ubuntu.com pelo seu espelho original, us.archive.ubuntu.com .

2. Encontre as linhas que fazem referência a lucid e comente-as ou use old-releases.ubuntu.com somente para esse repositório .

   Se você não souber qual entrada em /etc/apt/sources.list ou /etc/apt/sources.list.d/* tem essa entrada "lúcida", execute este comando em /etc/apt/ : grep -r -i lucid /etc/apt/ ; ele identificará os arquivos que contêm a palavra 'lucid'

3. sudo apt-get update e comandos semelhantes devem agora funcionar sem problemas.

Eu recomendaria strongmente comentar os repositórios do Lucid, pois eles também são o fim da vida e, a menos que você realmente precise deles, você não deve mantê-los ativados.
