Uma atualização para o 9.10 corrigiu isso, junto com algumas das minhas outras perguntas de superusuário anteriormente não corrigidas: D
Eu tenho um roteador wlan Linksys WRT54G configurado como um ponto de acesso. Está conectado via cabo ao nosso roteador principal (e servidor DHCP) que se conecta à rede. A luz indicadora da conexão do cabo está acesa nas duas extremidades.
Usando o Kubuntu 9.04, o NetworkManager e o knetworkmanager e o nm-applet, não consigo me conectar à rede. A conexão wlan "física" funciona, mas fica presa no DHCP.

Usando o Wireshark, vejo que uma solicitação DHCP é enviada, mas nenhuma resposta é recebida.
Eu tenho outro roteador configurado como ponto de acesso, também conectado ao roteador principal através de um cabo, e isso funciona bem. É a mesma rede, o mesmo servidor DHCP. Eu também poderia me conectar ao AP que não está funcionando no passado.
O 9.04 NMapplet é conhecido por ter problemas com adaptadores sem fio. Primeiro use cli iwconfig inorder para autenticar com sucesso e estabelecer conectividade com o roteador sem fio. Então você pode fazer ifdown + ifup wlan0. Você deve obter o IP com o DHCP.
