Existe uma maneira fácil de fazer parte de uma foto negativa com o computador? Existe um bom visualizador de imagens que faz isso (esp open-source)

Eu acho que o GIMP pode fazer isso.

Veja Inverter :

The Invert command inverts all the pixel colors and brightness values in the current layer, as if the image were converted into a negative. Dark areas become bright and bright areas become dark. Hues are replaced by their complementary colors.

não é OSS , mas IrfanView é um dos melhores visualizadores de imagens disponíveis. Pode inverter as cores através de Imagem⇨Negativa .
