é UNC S.M.A.R.T. Erro sério? precisa agir?

Tenho um Raptor Western Digital de 300G, mostrando recentemente o UNC SMART, perguntando a alguém que tem experiência sabe se devo substituí-lo e obter o formulário de garantia WD?

Faça a substituição, se puder.

Por outro lado, estes são 'apenas' erros de leitura que não são tão ruins assim. Se você escrever para esse setor, só poderá ter certeza se tem defeitos.

Eu executaria o utilitário de fornecedores para verificar (eles também executam testes inteligentes) se tiver problemas. Eles geralmente fazem CDs de boot disponíveis.

Você pode e deve executar um autoteste que pode ser feito a partir do Linux, emitindo

smartctl -t long /dev/your-device

aguarde algumas horas (mostrará uma estimativa). Em seguida, verifique novamente com

smartctl -a /dev/your-device

Se ele diz Completed without errors , você está bem. Se não, vá para o utilitário de fornecedores para verificar a unidade.

Os erros de leitura podem ser causados por algo tão simples quanto a perda de energia durante uma operação de gravação. Sozinho, eles não sugerem problemas de hardware na unidade.
