Portas Ethernet do Solaris: nge2 e nge3 estão ausentes

Existe um Sun X4100 com uma interface nge0 que está configurada e funcionando. O servidor tem um grupo de 4 conectores de rede na parte traseira e nge0 corresponde à porta Ethernet 0.

Eu tentei ativar a porta Ethernet 3 com ifconfig nge3 plumb e recebi a saída

ifconfig: plumb: nge3: Invalid argument

Mas eu consigo configurar nge1 sem problemas.

Baseado em sua informação prtconf você tem 2 interfaces nge (nge0 e nge1), e duas interfaces e1000g (e1000g0 e e1000g1).

Tente encaná-los e eles devem funcionar.

ifconfig e1000g0 plumb
ifconfig e1000g1 plumb

Em uma nota lateral, se você tiver o Solaris 10, será mais fácil verificar as interfaces de rede com dladm show-dev
