atraso de resolução de 5 segundos

Usando o wget (curl, httplib2) sempre recebo um tempo limite de resolução de 5 segundos. Esse problema não chega quando faço wget -4 ou wget -6. A resolução também funciona usando dig ou host. Atraso pode ser reduzido usando "opções timeout: 2" em /etc/resolv.conf

Ferramentas como dig / host executam de forma semelhante ao uso de wget -4 ou wget -6, instant, sem qualquer problema.

Eu tentei cada um dos seguintes servidores individualmente.

Seu problema é descrito no link e é causado por uma pesquisa paralela em IPv4 e IPv6 que não trabalhar em conjunto com alguns servidores DNS e firewalls.

Pode ser corrigido adicionando "single-request" às opções em /etc/resolv.conf como o link acima menciona.
