Problema ao instalar o Broadcom BCM43142 no PC HP Pavilion 15-p073TX NB

Eu sei que isso soa semelhante, mas meu problema é único. Eu tenho um novo PC HP Pavilion 15-p073TX NB. Recentemente eu instalei o Ubuntu 14.04.2, mas não consegui iniciar o WIFI. Eu procurei um pouco e consegui algumas respostas aqui e aqui . Mas nada parece estar funcionando até agora.

Você precisa baixar do link e instalar, a versão que você tem t tem os patches necessários para trabalhar com o kernel 3.16

Tivemos o problema de wifi não funcionar no novo laptop Acer Aspire e5 depois de instalar o ubuntu 14. Também tentamos instalar o driver usando o seguinte comando.

sudo apt-get instala o bcmwl-kernel-source

Mas recebemos o erro de que o pacote não foi encontrado. Mais tarde encontrou solução, dando o comando

sudo apt-get update

Isso atualizou todos os pacotes. Depois disso, a instalação do bcmwl-kernal-source começou a funcionar.

Após a instalação, o wifi começou a funcionar !! Obrigado pelo post acima.
