Da próxima vez, eu provavelmente deveria simplesmente usar:
apt-get dist-upgrade

Quando tentei atualizar o sistema, ocorreu o erro:

Alguém poderia lançar alguma luz sobre isso? Antes de atualizar, esse problema não existia.
Eu corro meu Ubuntu em um boot duplo mac mini. Destina-se ao desenvolvimento de software e uso de cliente-servidor. Outra máquina, um laptop Acer executando Mint, eu tentei atualizá-lo, mas Mint não permite que você atualize a partir de uma versão distro para o próximo, sem uma instalação limpa. Nós também tentamos vários testes com alguns outros * nix sabores: FreeBSD, OpenBSD, CentOS, Fedora ... e chegou a uma conclusão que o Ubuntu parece ser a melhor opção para um ambiente empresarial prático, com um bom suporte amplo para um grande faixa de drivers, funcionando também bem em rEFIt / rEFInd ou no multi-boot do Grub.
Eu nunca deveria atualizar o Ubuntu Desktop da distro atual para a próxima? A menos que seja um Ubuntu LTS? Então, é verdade que toda nova distribuição de distribuição do Ubuntu requer uma nova instalação limpa?
