Por que o Ubuntu não consegue localizar discos rígidos ou volumes durante a instalação?

Eu decidi inicializar o Windows 7 e o Ubuntu 13.04 no meu computador. Mas quando eu tento instalar o Ubuntu 13.04, minha instalação diz que eu não tenho pelo menos 5,3 GB de espaço em disco. Em "Try ubuntu", verifiquei o utilitário de discos, monitor do sistema e gParted, nenhum deles lista meus discos rígidos (tenho 2 discos rígidos, 1 é 80GB, o outro é 500 GB, ambos estão praticamente vazios e IDE). Meu Windows 7 funciona e detecta todos os discos rígidos (portanto, isso pode não ser um problema de h / w)

O Ubuntu não funciona bem com volumes de discos dinâmicos criados pelo Windows e falha na maioria das vezes para detectá-los.

As únicas soluções conhecidas para instalar o Ubuntu nesses discos são convertê-las de volta ao básico ou instalar o Ubuntu em outro disco que não tenha sido convertido.

Algo está errado na unidade ou no controlador, pois eles não serão redefinidos e inicializados corretamente.

O problema talvez seja a tabela de partições, mas há chances mínimas de isso, pois o Windows está funcionando bem.

Meu palpite é que você está usando seus HDDs como 'Discos dinâmicos' no Windows. A melhor (e provavelmente a única resolução sensata) é:

  1. Faça o backup de todas as suas unidades em outro disco rígido (que é básico). Entre em contato com um amigo (ou inimigo) se precisar. [Você também pode inicializar no Windows e copiar todos os dados das partições da Drive1 para os da Drive2. E então desconecte a Drive2 quando você instalar o Ubuntu.]
  2. Inicialize no Windows agora e converta a unidade em Básico (converta ambas as unidades se você fizer o backup para uma terceira unidade; ou somente a Unidade 1, se o backup estiver na Unidade 2).
  3. Exclua todas as partições da unidade (para ser infalível).
  4. Instale o Windows e depois o Ubuntu. (Evite partições estendidas, se possível, elas atrapalharam minha tabela de partições no passado).

Não é possível reinstalar o Windows? OK! Em seguida, digamos que o Disk1 tenha o Windows instalado, copie o conteúdo do Disk2 para o Disk1. E converta o Disk2 em Basic. Instale o Ubuntu no Disk2. Torne o Disk2 o dispositivo de inicialização padrão do BIOS. E o passo final é fazer sudo update-grub

sim, isso pode estar sendo levado em conta enquanto você está instalando o Ubuntu a partir do boot porque ele não suporta volumes de disco dinâmicos com formatos .NTFS e .GTP etc., mas você já tentou iniciar a instalação do Ubuntu a partir de o próprio windows e quando você está fazendo assim pode pedir-lhe para escolher qual o drive que você deseja instalar o Ubuntu e quanta memória você deseja usar para o sistema operacional e qual versão você deseja instalar todas essas opções estão disponíveis com este modo de instalação .., verifiquei uma vez.

Meu amigo também relatou este problema hoje, que o Ubuntu não foi capaz de detectar as partições, enquanto o Windows Installer detectou.

Eu disse a ele para experimentar diferentes CDs ao vivo do Linux para verificar se o problema persistia, mas ele teve sucesso com o Linux Mint, que podia ler suas partições.

Então você pode baixar o Ubuntu 12.04.3 (LTS), e tentar também, caso contrário você também pode tentar o Linux Mint para ver se ele está detectando seus discos.

Talvez haja um bug em algum lugar.
