Tentando se conectar a uma VPN do Windows

Eu sou novo em VPNs em geral e gostaria de aprender como fazer isso no Ubuntu seria um ótimo começo Estou usando pptd do gerenciador de rede. Sempre que eu tento conectar-me à vpn que está usando o servidor do Windows, recebo "authenication required" e ele não se conecta. Sob as opções avançadas de PPTP eu tenho MSCHAP MSCHAPV2 verificado assim como MPPE, e sob a segurança eu tenho slects de 128 bits. Para obter mais informações, verifiquei o registro de sys e aqui estão as informações que meu sistema retorna quando tento me conectar.

Eu localizei meu problema. Mentiu com a linha

MS-CHAP authentication failed: E=649 No dialin permission

Eu conversei com o meu sistema de administração e descobri que eu não tinha as permissões corretas para me conectar ao vpn no lado do servidor windows. Lá vai um par de horas pensando que algo estava errado no meu fim quando não era

Parece ridículo, mas, às vezes, tentativa e erro com configurações diferentes (especialmente autenticação e criptografia) no menu Advanced podem ajudar. Foi assim que eu configurei minha última VPN >. >
