Estou tentando executar o X remotamente de um servidor Ubuntu. Eu instalei gedit na máquina remota e tentei:

Eu tentei com outro programa:

Infelizmente, esses programas não têm um sinalizador de verbosidade, então essa é toda a informação que tenho.
O que há de errado? É possível rodar o X remoto no servidor Ubuntu?
Está bem aqui na última linha:

Além do gedit, você também precisará instalar um pacote xauth. Se o servidor Ubuntu não foi instalado com um sistema X Windows (provavelmente considerando que você tinha que instalar manualmente o Gedit) isso claramente não está presente.
Certifique-se de permitir isso no sshd_config no seu servidor.

Além disso, verifique se o seu cliente está configurado. Se você estiver usando o OSX, certifique-se de que o X11 esteja em execução, caso contrário verifique se o seu local ~ / .Xauthority é chmod 600 e o ssh_config no cliente está bem configurado.
