Ubuntu 11.04 Server Crashing - falha no comando: READ FPDMA QUEUED

Eu tenho um novo Ubuntu Server (11.04) que fica travando, especialmente durante E / S de disco pesado (como fazer um backup). Suas unidades são configuradas como um RAID 10 com 4 discos rígidos Caviar Preto Western Digital de 1TB.

A mensagem que estou vendo via / proc / kmsg quando está travada é "comando com falha: READ FPDMA QUEUED".

Parece que algo está bagunçado com as unidades ou o ataque ao software está quebrado?

A máquina estava indo bem até esta tarde, quando caiu durante uma transferência de arquivos Desde então, ela está falhando quando tento executar um backup, mas nem sempre é o mesmo arquivo ou local de cada vez.

Como sei se é uma falha de software ou hardware? Como sei se é o controlador SATA ou um dos discos?

Além disso, todas as quatro unidades da matriz foram "concluídas sem erro" quando eu executei um teste off-line extendido nelas.

ATUALIZAÇÃO: Verificou todos os discos rígidos executando a varredura completa em cada um e escrevendo zeros em todas as unidades. Não foram encontrados problemas. Vou reinstalar tudo e tentar novamente. : /

Você responde sua própria pergunta mencionando alterar um cabo, zerar os discos rígidos e começar do zero parece ter corrigido o problema , mas para mim parece que você pode estar tendo um caso do problema. 550559 maldição .

Você pode querer tentar atualizar o firmware do seu BIOS. Eu tive exatamente o mesmo erro, atualizado para o BIOS mais recente, e o problema desapareceu.

Qualquer unidade conectada à porta SATA 4 está com problemas. Não é necessariamente que a unidade em si é cactus, poderia ser um cabo ou até mesmo a porta SATA. Dado que o servidor é novo, eu estaria usando a garantia do sistema para substituir a coisa toda; não vale a pena o seu tempo para diagnosticar problemas como este - é por isso que você sempre compra sistemas decentes com uma boa garantia.

Acho que esse problema foi causado por corrupção de software. Zerar os discos rígidos e começar do zero parece ter resolvido o problema, e o sistema agora parece estável.
